Living Clean in a Dirty World

The news hit you. The President of the Republic will be using your car when he visits your remote little town next week.
And as if that's not enough, the Honorable Head of State will spend the night in your house.

What do you think you will be doing before that day?
Clean the car! Clean the house! Clean it, clean it again, then after that, clean it some more!

No one with body odor will be allowed in the car.
No dirty shoes inside.

The room... oh, it has to be repainted. The dining room, the living room... imagine who will dine and sleep here, no less than the highest official of the Country! Is this not the most important person among tens of millions?

DO YOU NOT KNOW...?
Similarly, if we understand who Christ Jesus is... if we have a revelation of His honor, majesty and His matchless worth... and that our bodies are His dwelling/Temple.... we could never allow uncleanness in our hearts and minds.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?
You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

The problem: We have christians who claim they are "washed by the blood every day"
                     but continue to live in sin.

Diagnosis: We have no idea who Christ really is. We have a low view of God. He is small
                 and irrelevant in our eyes.

Treatment: We need a Holy Spirit revelation of who Christ is in us!
                 As Paul said: "But when God, who... called me by his grace, was pleased to
                 reveal his Son in me..." (Galatians 1:15-16).
                 Paul didn't say "reveal His Son to me...", he said "in me".

One can have all the right theologies and biblical doctrines but still live immoral lives. Knowing Christ and having biblical doctrines are not the same. Right doctrine should produce intimate knowledge of Christ. Otherwise, all it is are mere mental calisthenics.

verses 15 to 18 says;
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? 
Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute?
Never! 
 
Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?
For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” 

But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
Flee from sexual immorality

Awesome! This flesh and blood we call our bodies are actually MEMBERS OF CHRIST HIMSELF!

You and I are His "vehicles" and "house/dwelling place" in this world!

He is ALIVE in you and me!

Questions to think about:
1) In what ways will our  lives will change if we get to know Christ more? 

2) How will our ways of treating one another change if we begin to see Christ in each   
    other?
